HACKING THE EIERMANN
As an aesthetically functional archetype, the Eiermann Table by Egon Eiermann has left its mark on countless creative studios, offices, studios, universities and living rooms and is hard to beat in its functional simplicity. As a contemporary piece of office furniture, however, the Eiermann lacks one thing: simple height adjustment. Hence, it is about time to translate the icon into the present.
The E2022 kit transforms the Eiermann table into a height-adjustable work table. With the flick of a wrist, the tabletop is raised to the desired position using spindles that run in the tubes of the frame and are coupled via a belt, and can be easily lowered by releasing the brake. In sense of resource efficiency, E2022 follows the approach of extension instead of replacement with a completely mechanical function principle and minimal assembly effort.
